CHRT OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. NO CASH OR MONETARY PRIZES ARE OFFERED. THIS IS A SKILL- AND POPULARITY-BASED RECOGNITION PROGRAM, NOT A SWEEPSTAKES OR GAME OF CHANCE.
1. SPONSOR
This recognition program (the "Chart Competition") is sponsored by CHRT Music LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110 ("Sponsor," "CHRT," "we," or "us").
2. ELIGIBILITY
To submit a track to the Chart Competition, you must: (a) be at least 18 years old; (b) have a CHRT account in good standing; (c) own or control all rights necessary to submit the track, as confirmed by your declarations at submission; and (d) comply with the CHRT Terms of Service and these Contest Rules. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of CHRT Music LLC involved in operating the Chart Competition are not eligible to win Season Champion recognition, though they may otherwise participate.
3. HOW THE CHART COMPETITION WORKS
a. Seasons. The Chart Competition runs in recurring three-week periods ("Seasons"): a one-week submission window followed by a two-week listening/ranking period. Season timing may be adjusted by CHRT, and the Service displays each Season's current schedule.
b. Submission. During the submission window, eligible users may submit one or more AI-generated tracks meeting the requirements in the Submission Agreement and Terms of Service.
c. Ranking. Tracks are ranked within each Season based on verified listener plays, as determined by CHRT's play-verification system. A "verified play" generally requires a listener to be signed in and to have genuinely listened to a track for a minimum duration, as determined by our systems. CHRT may update its verification methodology at any time, in our sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the chart.
d. Certifications. Tracks that reach certain verified-play thresholds may receive certification badges (e.g., Certified, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Legend). Thresholds may be adjusted by CHRT at any time.
e. Season Champion. At the close of each Season, the track ranked #1 by verified plays is recognized as that Season's "Season Champion." The Season Champion's track and artist name are recorded permanently in CHRT's historical archive and displayed on the Service.
4. NO CASH VALUE; NATURE OF RECOGNITION
Recognition under the Chart Competition — including chart rankings, certification badges, and Season Champion status — has NO CASH VALUE and is NOT REDEEMABLE for cash, merchandise, or any other consideration. CHRT does not award prizes of any monetary value in connection with the Chart Competition.
5. CONTENT STANDARDS
Every track submitted to the Chart Competition — including its audio, lyrics, title, cover artwork, image, and video — must comply with the Content Standards in Section 6 of the CHRT Terms of Service. Content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable is prohibited and may be removed and disqualified at any time in CHRT's sole discretion. You are solely responsible for your submission, and CHRT does not pre-screen or endorse any submission.
6. DISQUALIFICATION
CHRT may disqualify any submission or participant, forfeit any recognition already awarded, and/or permanently remove a participant from the Service, at any time, for any of the following (non-exhaustive) reasons: (a) attempting to manipulate play counts or rankings through bots, fraudulent accounts, paid or incentivized listening, or other artificial means; (b) submitting content that infringes a third party's rights, violates the Content Standards, or was not created using AI tools as represented; (c) violating the Terms of Service, Submission Agreement, or these Contest Rules; or (d) any other conduct CHRT determines, in its sole discretion, undermines the integrity of the Chart Competition.
7. DETERMINATION FINAL
All determinations by CHRT regarding rankings, verified plays, certifications, Season Champion status, and disqualifications are final and binding, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
By participating in the Chart Competition, you agree that participation is at your own risk and you release the CHRT Parties (as defined in the Terms of Service) from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, and liabilities arising out of or relating to your participation, any submission (yours or another participant's), any recognition or lack of recognition, and any interaction or dispute with another participant. This release is in addition to, and incorporates, the assumption-of-risk and release provisions of the Terms of Service.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Participation in the Chart Competition is subject to the limitation of liability, disclaimer of warranties, release, and indemnification provisions of the CHRT Terms of Service, which are incorporated into these Contest Rules by reference. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the CHRT Parties are not responsible or liable for any submission by any participant, including any submission that is offensive, objectionable, infringing, or unlawful.
10. PUBLICITY
By submitting a track and by accepting any recognition, you grant CHRT the right to use your handle, artist name, submission, and Season results to operate, promote, and publicize the Service and the Chart Competition, without additional notice, consent, or compensation, consistent with the license in Section 5(b) of the Terms of Service and except where prohibited by law.
11. CHANGES; CANCELLATION
CHRT reserves the right to modify these Contest Rules, or to suspend, modify, or cancel the Chart Competition (or any Season), at any time, for any reason, including if CHRT determines that fraud, technical failure, or any other factor has compromised the integrity of the Chart Competition.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Contest Rules are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, consistent with the governing law provision in the CHRT Terms of Service.
